A letter from one of our neighbors on the Mill Creek Pond

I want to express my appreciation for the work of our Homeowners' Association.  Since our HOA started, and the entrance fence was installed:  I feel safer, the area around the pond is cleaner, and the wildlife is protected.

I have lived on Millcreek, just above the overflow pond, for 19 years.  Prior to the establishment of our HOA:

*my home was broken into

*on two different occasions the police with dogs spent over half an hour each, at midnight, on my deck looking for person/s running from the law.  Without the gate there was easy entry onto my property.  (I felt protected by the police and had no objection to their presence).

*the propane tank was stolen from my grill on my deck

*I caught a young boy attempting to steal one of my deck chairs

*I stopped two young boys who were breaking glass on the rocks along the creek

*I saw three young boys playing with duck eggs they had taken from the nest

*people would be walking along the creek three or four feet from me while I was sitting on my deck and it was quite uncomfortable

I am sending this note because I want you all to know how comfortable I now feel and how much the Association means to me.
